I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over six years of counseling experience. My journey to becoming a dietitian started in an unlikely place - a fast food restaurant - but the twists and turns along the way made me realize what I was truly passionate about. My supervisor at the restuarant happened to be a dietitian, and from speaking with her I had decided to pursue a career in nutrition where I could help others. Through my training and early career at Duke University Hospital, I truly fell in love with how nutrition could support patients with chronic conditions reach their goals - whether that was reducing medications, feeling more energized, or simply feeling confident enough again to nourish their bodies and feel good in their own skin. I was also able to apply my knowledge to help manage my spouse’s Crohn’s disease, and I was able to assist my mother as she adapted her diet in the setting of a new diagnosis of IBS and diverticulosis on top of existing food intolerances. I later became a family medicine Physician's Assistant, in addition to an RDN. My specialties include working with clients who have chronic medical conditions and and those seeking a better relationship with nutrition, health, and their body. This includes renal and liver disease, renal transplant, diabetes, weight management, bariatric surgery, and GI disorders.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 18 years of counseling experience. I have a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Ball State University and a certificate of advanced studies in Food and Nutritional Sciences from California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). It lights me up to work with adults, children and teens who are struggling with binge/emotional eating or yo-yo dieting and are looking to have a healthy relationship with food and body image. Previously having prediabetes and gestational diabetes myself, I have a special place in my heart for those struggling with the same. I also have significant experience working with chronic kidney disease, heart health, women's health, weight management, picky eating and general wellness.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 34 years of experience. At a young age, I saw my pregnant mom help my dad recover from cancer treatment while raising our family. As time went on, I always tried to help him eat the right foods as he also suffered from IBS. I found it fascinating how food, if properly chosen and prepared, could make his day, help him function and go to work, and be strong. This was when I realized how much I enjoyed helping people, and so I eventually pursued a career in dietetics. I went on to receive my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT and completed my clinical internship at the University of Connecticut Health Center Farmington, CT. Now, my specialties include a wide variety of areas, including weight management, gut health, diabetes, heart health, renal, autoimmune support, and women's health.

Personally, I'm also an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed an array of races from 10 milers, half marathons, marathons (4x top 10% finisher of Boston Marathon, NY Marathon, Philly Marathon), Iron Man 70.3 (Maine, Atlantic City) and Iron Man (Maryland). I specialize in working with clients to use the synergy between food and physical activity to optimize their health and performance.
